Increase engine power output per liter. With the engine displacement remaining constant, increasing intake air density allows the engine to inject more fuel, thus increasing power. Engines equipped with turbochargers typically see a 20%–30% increase in power and torque. Conversely, to achieve the same power output, the engine bore can be reduced, decreasing engine size and weight.

Improve engine emissions. Turbocharged engines improve combustion efficiency, reducing the emission of harmful components such as particulate matter and nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases. This is an indispensable feature for diesel engines meeting Euro II or higher emission standards.

Provide altitude compensation. In some high-altitude areas, where the air is thinner, turbocharged engines can overcome the power reduction caused by the thin air.

Improve fuel economy and reduce fuel consumption. Due to the better combustion performance of turbocharged engines, fuel consumption can be reduced by 3%–5%.

Feature high reliability, excellent matching characteristics, and high transient response.
